This is a night cream. It contains delicate, photosensitive components that may cause pigmentation if you use this cream during the day.
Distilled water, natural emulsifier, jojoba oil, avocado oil, borage seed oil, mango butter, ceramide complex, vitamin B3, cetearyl alcohol, natural preservative, rosemary leaf extract.
Jojoba oil is structurally and chemically very similar to the human sebum and moisturizes dry skin very well. It is non-toxic, non-comedogenic and non-allergenic with a non-greasy feeling in use. The antioxidants present in jojoba oil smooth fine lines, wrinkles and naturally slow down signs of aging.
Avocado oil is rich in A, B, D and E vitamins, phytonutrients, lecithin, antioxidants and beneficial monounsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid). Avocado oil penetrates the skin deeper than other oils allowing for increased effectiveness. It is extremely good at hydrating and softening your skin. Antioxidants in avocado oil benefit your skin by destroying the free radicals that prematurely age it.
Borage seed oil has one of the highest amounts of a fatty acid called gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) of all seed oils. Skin converts GLA into components that help reduce inflammation and promote healthy cellular growth and functioning. Lack of GLA leads to dryness, skin redness, acne, wounds, as well as acceleration of the skin’s aging process. Because of the relatively short shelf life of this oil, you may rarely see it in cosmetic formulations. Mango butter is a rich natural fat derived from the seeds contained inside the pits of the Mango fruit. Used topically, Mango Butter’s long-lasting emollience nourishes skin and boosts its elasticity as well as its suppleness, thereby making skin look smoother and firmer. Mango Butter is high in omega fatty acids as well as vitamins A and E, making it a great addition to formulations to boost moisture, softness, elasticity, and skin tone.
Ceramide complex is a multi-lamellar system of vegetable-derived, semi-synthetic ceramides, cholesterol, free fatty acids and phytosphingosine that is identical to lipids found in the skin. Ceramide Complex restores the protective barrier function of the skin and is especially suitable for dry skin, aging skin and sensitive skin.
Vitamin B3 is a safe, nonirritating cosmeceutical ingredient which as research shows can offer a number of benefits in improving the appearance of aged and photodamaged skin and improving skin moisturization. It has been shown to stimulate collagen synthesis and production of ceramide, a lipid compound that contributes to the functional and structural integrity of the skin barrier. This is one of our most favorite ingredients that truly is a “hard-working horse” in the word of skin care components.
Rosemary oil extract is an oil soluble, natural extract of the leaves of the rosemary plant used to retard rancidity in natural oils due its potent antioxidant properties. As our products are based on natural oils we want to protect the formulation by delaying the inevitable oxidation.
