Green tea extract is a plant-derived antioxidant with anti-inflammatory effects, protective properties against UVB damage, and anti-aging effects due to its ability to inhibit collagenase, the enzyme causing degradation of collagen.
Jojoba oil is structurally and chemically very similar to the human sebum and moisturizes dry skin very well. It is non-toxic, non-comedogenic and non-allergenic with a non-greasy feeling in use. The antioxidants present in jojoba oil smooth fine lines, wrinkles and naturally slow down signs of aging.
Macadamia nut oil is emollient that is very nourishing due to high levels of many essential fatty acids, including Palmitoleic Acid. Palmitoleic Acid is vital in delaying skin cell aging.
Grape seed oil has non-allergenic properties, so it is good for use on sensitive skin. It contains essential fatty acids that are very beneficial for the skin.
Centella asiatica extract (also known as gotu kola) is known for its skin healing, anti-inflammatory and collagen synthesis increasing properties.
Ginkgo biloba extract contains flavonoids and terpenes, which indicate several desirable properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, vessel protection, and cell regeneration. This component is great for promotion of anti-aging, photo-protection, re-epithelizing and other cosmetic advantages.
Glycerin is palm-derived, known for its ability to draw moisture from the air into the skin. Regardless of many myths surrounding this well-known component, glycerin is hands-down the best moisturizing ingredient out there. Some avoid this component believing that it has a drying effect on the skin. To clarify, glycerin indeed can be drying for the skin if it is over 30% of the product formula and if the formula that does not contain oils to bond the moisture it attracts to the skin. We use glycerin in the amount of 3% in our formulations.
Sepilift is a plant-derived, oil-soluble wrinkle-correcting agent that moisturizes and smoothes the signs of aging skin. It firms the tissues by stimulating the contraction of collagen fibers, by protecting the skin fibers from enzymatic lysis or breakdown and scavanges free radicals. This component is a wrinkle correcting, long-lasting moisturizing, triple-action skin firming, antioxidative, photoprotective and skin plumping agent.
Horse chestnut extract contains saponins, known as ’aescin’, which is a potent anti-inflammatory compound and also reduces capillary fragility, and therefore helps to prevent swelling caused by leakage of fluids into surrounding tissues. An extract of horse chestnut has recently been shown to have one of the highest ’active-oxygen’ scavenging abilities of 65 different plant extracts tested.
Rosemary oil extract is an oil soluble, natural extract of the leaves of the rosemary plant used to retard rancidity in natural oils due its potent antioxidant properties. As our products are based on natural oils, we want to protect the formulation by delaying the inevitable oxidation.
To Use:
Apply this cream to the skin around your eyes after washing your face and applying any serum first. You can follow up with a face cream. Feel free to use the eye cream during the day or at night.
